I grew up in the heart of Brazoria County, Angleton. I use to walk up and down these streets as a little red curly head, freckled face kid. It is truly my home. I'm taken back by how much it has changed over the years.
I met my husband of 28 years in high school. We got married in 1995 and had our first child in 1998. We have three beautiful children that are now officially adults and as of May 2022 graduated high school. Even though I have always had a passion for photography, it wasn't until after having my children and watching my husbands love for photography that inspired me to figure out exactly how a camera really works. I became obsessed. In 2008, I started my journey by teaching myself but then started online classes, workshops and anything else you can think of to learn and grow as a photographer.
My passions and style have changed over the years. I was dedicated to newborns for seven to eight years. Then I switched to capturing high school seniors. I realized these passions changed as my children changed and grew. This was completely unintentional but natural I think. Now that my kids have now graduated high school I realized I missed snuggling babies and have a draw to try some new things. So I am opening myself up to offering some sessions that you do not normally see from me, including fine art.
I have realized that regardless of what I offer one of the perks to having my own photography business is the people. I LOVE meeting new people. Being a photographer, for me, is not just about the portraits I make but the relationships I build with my clients as well. Being apart of your memories is truly a privilege and honor.
